My thoughts of Mary are happy ones. We only saw each other once a year but her smile radiated every Christmas. She knew that putting on some fabulous red lippy would solve everything and get the party started! And regardless of her pains she always extended the warmest of welcomes and hugs. I'll miss sharing my Christmas pot of coffee with Mary but hope she'll join me in spirit, with a mince pie too! We'll miss you Mary. I hope you are enjoying your own reunions. For my dear sister Mary, and remembering our lovely sister Lin. So many happy memories growing up, we were loved and cared for by our Mum and Dad. Playing together, lovely days spent on the beach, picnics in the park, picking blackberries, catching minnows in the water meadows at Granny's in Winchester. As the youngest l watched them grow into young women. Mary was a very clever and artistic girl, she was kind.she had many friends, at school and later at work,where she met David. She was a good wife, Mum granny and Aunty, and friend to many. She knew sadness and loss,but she bore it all with dignity and strength. She was a brave lovely sister, and l love and will miss her. My fondest memories of Mary are when I was a child and she and David used to visit us (the Robertsons) in Hawkhurst, Kent. Mary and David would arrive with 3 small children in tow and they would spend time with me in a way that my own parents never did. Mary had a way about her that made me feel loved and heard. As adults, all of the Robertsons would visit Mary and my uncle David at their beautiful home in Wiveliscombe where we always felt really at home and welcomed. Their home always left me with a sense of real safety and homecoming. It warms by heart to know that Mary can finally rest in peace with her dear husband, David, and beloved daughter Lucy. As our family has grown, Mary became a large part of our extended family. Throughout the time we have known her, we became great friends and have so many happy memories. She will always be remembered and loved our ‘Hello’ Hugs May she rest in peace. Love David and Tracy xx

I met Mary quite late, when she already suffered from her disease, however she always stayed kind hearted, positive with great sense of humour. I spent hours sitting and talking with her. Her personality attracted me to put my trust in her and she felt almost like a family to me. She was definitely a beautiful human being with a beautiful soul and heart . Mary, David, Lucy, Amy, and Joseph have all been part of my life for nearly half a century, when I fell they caught me when they fell they called me, when times were hard we struggled together, when times were good we partied, but whatever it was a team effort, no one person was more than the other nor was anyone less, half of us are gone now, but they will live forever in my heart and the memories will make me smile forever. So, if on Monday you see me smile, ask me, I will tell you the silly thought or memory that has come back to me... Live on forever my friends xx

Mary had faith in me, when I had no faith in myself. She gave me a safe place to be and a chance to change. I seriously don’t know where i would be without her support 12 years ago.
